Balika Diwas & Rangoli Competition

"न स्रीरत्नसमं रत्नं"

There is no jewel like a woman.

Maya Angelou writes, "Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women." Once in the millennia, a woman stands up against all the orthodox traditions and gives birth to a change in the retarded society. It is not only about the woman who chooses to be the change, but it is also about every single girl who should rather be the change instead of changing herself for the orthodox society. It can be proclaimed that the difference between a retarded society and a thriving society is the presence of women who are valued. It is our responsibility to develop a society where women are valued and respected, not because they need it, but because they deserve it. An innovative step towards achieving this sort of change is organizing activities that promote gender equality and induce an egalitarian way of thinking.

Department of Microbiology and MICROBIOL Association Of Microbiology, Rajarshi Shahu Autonomous College, Latur celebrated Savitribai Phule Jayanti and Balika Diwas by organizing a Rangoli competition today. The theme of the Rangoli competition was "BALANCE FOR THE BETTER"
