Virus Particle Model Exhibition - 2022

If there wasn't anything like COVID-19 in these two years, nobody would've thought about what viruses are capable of. There were viruses in the past too, but no virus could ever put the whole planet behind closed doors. There still exist many misconceptions about these protein-bound particles. Some people call them PARASITES, but they are not parasites at all. An organism needs to be alive to be called a parasite. They have nothing like living cells, all they have (that puts them in biology books) is DNA or RNA.

In a poetic manner...

Viruses are ultramicroscopic

But they can be great

To cells, they can degrade

To humans, they can teach hate

But you can replace their DNA

With any DNA you make

And you can program,

Certain host genes you can replace

With these perfect vectors

Genetic engineering can achieve grace

Today, the MICROBIOL association and the Department of Microbiology of Rajarshi Shahu Autonomous College, Latur organized a Virus Particles Model Exhibition. Following are some glimpses from the same exhibition.
